Corcoran is a city in Kings County, California, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a population of approximately 24,813 people and a total area of 6.4 square miles (17 km2).
The city of Corcoran has a city council form of government. The city council is the legislative body of the city, with all corporate and regulatory powers of a municipal corporation provided under California State Law. The council is made up of five members elected by the city residents at large to serve four-year staggering terms. Elections are held every two years with not more than three members elected.
