Davis is a city in Yolo County, California, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a population of approximately and a total area of 10.5 square miles (27 km2).
The city of Davis has a city council form of government, the city council is the governing body of the city and is responsible for the following roles: Establishes overall City policies and conducts public hearings; Approves appropriate resolutions, ordinances, and an annual city budget; Appoints and oversees the City Manager and City Attorney and Appoints interested citizens to various advisory boards, commissions, and committees. The city council holds its meetings every Tuesday from 6:30 pm, except the Tuesday before a holiday and the fifth Tuesday of the month. Meeting are held in the Community Chambers at City Hall, 23 Russell Boulevard.
