Evacuation orders will remain in place through tonight but will be lifted tomorrow, Tuesday August 25th, at 8 am.
Residents of the Highway 49 or Priest Coulterville areas will need to present identification as these areas will be open to residents only.

The MocFire has held at 2800 acres and is 20% contained. PG&E is working closely with fire personnel to restore power to the Greeley Hill and Highway 120 area’s. Our office is working on reviewing a re-population plan for when it is safe to do so.

The #MocFire is holding at 2800 acres with 12% containment. Community info meeting Tomorrow, 11:00 AM at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, Manzanita Building, in Sonora (220 Southgate Dr.). COVID-19 precautions, temperature checks and mask requirements.

The #MocFire is at about 2800 acres with 10% containment. The fire still poses a significant threat to Priest Coulterville Rd. CAL Fire is working with local utility agencies to restore power where it does not pose a threat to fire fighter safety.
Addn, National Weather Service issued Red Flag Warning Sunday 5:00 AM through Monday at 11:00 PM. Projecting dry lightning storm accompanied by wind and low humidity. This combination negatively effects progress by fire personnel and can increase spread the fire. #mocfire
UPDATE** 7:00 PM Cal Fire had additional resources arrive. #MocFire active in Jackass Creek drainage. Very rugged terrain and difficult fire to access. With increased fire behavior, fire continues to pose a serious threat to evacuated areas. Additionally, the National Weather
