Butte County Sheriff Information
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is under the command of Sheriff Kory L. Honea. It is comprised of several divisions which are Civil, Coroner, Corrections, Operations, and Services. There are also several units within the BCSO. The Support Units are Investigations and Records. Investigative Units include the Gang Unit, Special Enforcement, and Special Victims. There are also specialty units which include the K9 Unit, Marine Unit, SWAT Team, and Bomb Squad. Aside from the main headquarters, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office also has two substations. The Chico Substation is located at 479 E. Park Avenue in Chico while the Magalia Substation is located at 14166 Skyway. The Sheriff’s Office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 4:30pm.
