Anderson is a city in Shasta County, California, USA. The city has a population of approximately 9,932 and a total area of 6.6 square miles (17 km2).

City Council

The City of Anderson is administrated through the Council‐Manager form of government. The city council members are elected by the citizens; they then appoint the City Manager. The City Council establishes the policies of the City and the City Manager is responsible for carrying out those policies. Besides, the city manager is responsible for managing the City’s human and financial resources. Jeff Kiser is the current city manager; he was appointed City Manager in May 2012. He is helped to run the city by Juanita Barnett the city clerk.

Police Department

The Anderson Police Department is responsible for maintaining law and order in the city; the department is fully dedicated to protecting the Anderson community and serving justice for the Shasta region.
