Gustine is a city in Merced County, California, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a population of approximately 5,520 and a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2).

City Council

The City Council of Gustine is the legislative and policy branch of City government. The city council is responsible for passing laws that improve the quality of life of the residents of the City. In addition, the city council also appoints the city manager and the city attorney.

The city council comprises of five members elected by the electorate in Gustine. The mayor serves a term of two years and the other four members serve a term of four years. Council members include Mayor Melvin Oliveira, Mayor Pro Tempore Pat Nagy, Council Member Craig Turner, Council Member Ellen Hasness and Council member Joe Oliveira.
