Dixon is a city in northern Solano County, California, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a population of approximately 18,351 people and a total area of 7.1 square miles (18 km2).

City Council

The city of Dixon has a city council form of government. The city council is the legislative boy of the city, the main responsibility of the city council is making legislations that govern the day to day activities of the city.

Council members are elected by the city residents at large to serve four-year terms. The mayor is appointed among the council members to serve a two-year term.
